Stanley Ginsberg Named Chairman of the Bread Bakers Guild of America
- Nov. 21, 2018
Stanley Ginsberg, PhD ’74, has been elected Chair of the Bread Bakers Guild of America (bbga.org). His new position is the culmination of a return to bread baking – a pleasure he’s pursued since childhood – following a career in finance and financial communications. A believer in active retirement, Ginsberg in 2009 started an online business, The New York Bakers (www.nybakers.com), a purveyor of specialty ingredients and supplies to home bakers. In 2012, he authored the IACP award-winning Inside the Jewish Bakery, followed in 2016 by publication of The Rye Baker, which has been described as “an instant classic.” He and his wife, Sylvia Spieler Ginsberg, live in San Diego, California, where he continues baking and writing.
