Submit an Alumni Note

  • Share your personal and professional news with UW-Madison alumni. Submissions that meet our guidelines will be posted here on a regular basis.

Book news? If you have written, edited, or illustrated a book, please fill out the Bookshelf form rather than completing the form below. Your book news will be posted to a special Wisconsin-alumni section of the book website Goodreads.

  • Your submission (other than book news) will appear on this Alumni Notes web page if it meets the Wisconsin Alumni Association’s (WAA) news-submission guidelines. It will appear here exactly as you write it, so please review it carefully before submitting. WAA is not responsible for errors of any kind.

Your submission, in whole or in part, may or may not also appear in the Class Notes section of the quarterly On Wisconsin print magazine, the triannual Badger Insider magazine for WAA members, and/or in any other print or digital communications that WAA produces.

We try to use as many items as possible in other communications, but not all will be included beyond this Alumni Notes web page. Submissions that appear elsewhere do so at the discretion of WAA editors and according to space limitations and editorial needs.

If your submission is used in one or more contexts other than on this Alumni Notes web page, it may be edited for clarity, accuracy, editorial style, grammar, punctuation, spelling, appropriateness, and/or length. It will also include any and all former names — taken from the UW-Madison alumni database — so that readers can determine if they knew you “back in the day,” degrees earned at UW-Madison, and the years of those degrees.

If the news you are submitting is not about you, you agree that you have permission from the subject(s) who are discussed to submit it. If you are including a photo, you agree that you have permission from the photographer and from the subject(s) to submit it.
