Michelle McCready Becomes Deputy CEO of Reach Out and Read

Michelle McCready ’07 is serving as the deputy CEO of the national nonprofit Reach Out and Read. Over the past year alone, Reach Out and Read served 4.8 million children through 11.2 million well-child visits in all 50 states. The network of pediatric teams provides families at routine check-ups with the knowledge and tools they need to make reading a part of their daily routine. By integrating reading aloud into pediatric care, Reach Out and Read reaches 4.8 million children across the country — nearly 70 percent of whom come from low-income families. Reach out and Read makes reading a part of every child’s life and helps provide all young people with a foundation for success throughout their lives.
