Scott Pryor Named Professor Emeritus

After twenty-six years of teaching at two law schools, Scott Pryor JD’80 was named professor emeritus of law in January 2026. Pryor entered the teaching profession in 1998, following fifteen years of practice primarily in Milwaukee. He was on the faculty of Regent University School of Law from 1998 to 2015 and at Campbell University School of Law from 2015 to 2025. During his academic tenure, Pryor receive two Fulbright Scholarships to teach and conduct research in India and served a term as resident scholar at the American Bankruptcy Institute in Washington, DC. He also taught comparative law in the Regent Law School program in international human rights in Strasbourg, France, for three summers and U.S. bankruptcy law during a summer term at Handong International Law School in Pohang, South Korea.
Following retirement, Scott and his wife LaDonna MSW’79 moved to Richmond, Virginia, to be closer to children and grandchildren. Scott continues to publish and present at legal conferences.
