Joan Collins Receives First Ever Thrive Award at Wisconsin Governor’s Trailblazers Awards

Joan (Krapfel) Collins, owner and founder of Joan Collins Publicity., Inc., Madison, WI received the Thrive Award at the Governor’s Trailblazers Awards Ceremony for 50 years owning her own business, serving as a pillar of the business community and inspiring generations of women. The Thrive Award is a new category at the event and Joan is the first recipient.

The Governor’s Trailblazers Awards recognize the rich legacy and deep roots of women business ownership in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Women’s Council sponsors the awards.

A 1964 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Journalism School, Collins was also recently featured in the Sunday Wisconsin State Journal Executive Profile in Madison which described her 50 years in business, what it was like to be a woman owning a business at age 25 and the journey along the way.
