Naming of Fine Arts Facility: Dennis R. McKinley

The new Hamel School of Music opened this fall, but just 2 weeks earlier, Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart, just a short distance from the Hamel, opened a new fine arts facility named the McKinley Performing Arts Center in honor of Dennis McKinley, (BM ’67 and MS ’84). The lead gift for the McKinley PAC was made by a former UW student, Diane Endres Ballweg (BM ’85), now a lifetime friend and colleague. McKinley began his teaching career at Edgewood in 1967 and still works there part-time, does volunteer work, subs, and continues to build alumni relationships.
