Badger Joins FDA Leadership

Leah Hunter ’05 has joined the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as associate commissioner for external affairs, where she oversees agency-wide communications activities regarding the FDA’s public health and regulatory activities. This experience builds on her many years in public service, including at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during both the Biden and Obama administrations while holding senior communications positions in both the U.S. Senate (Baldwin, WI) and U.S. House of Representatives (Kind, WI).
