UW–Madison Alumna Appointed to National International Education Council

Jen Sydow-Madoski ’96, manager for the Center for Global Engagement at Maricopa Community Colleges, one of the largest community college systems in the U.S. serving the greater Phoenix, Arizona, region, was recently appointed as a senior international officer (SIO) at-large to the Community Colleges for International Development SIO Council. Selected as one of three leaders from across the country, she will serve a two-year term helping to advance international education and global learning initiatives within the community college sector. Sydow-Madoski credits her study abroad experience in Madrid, Spain, during her junior year at UW–Madison, as well as a four-month AIESEC internship in Venezuela following graduation, with inspiring her career in international education. Today, she works to expand study abroad access, strengthen international partnerships, and advance cross-border collaborations that create meaningful opportunities for students and prepare them to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
