Mom (Class of 1949) and Me (Class of 1977) at the Union

Graduation day 1977. My mom, also a UW grad came solo because Dad went to my brother’s high school graduation the same day. We left the ceremony at the stadium early because it was so hot, with the plan to go to the Union. Got there early enough to score a table under a tree. I had the greatest day of my life with mom, she reminiscing about her Wisconsin days and me soaking in her wisdom.

I found out we actually shared a class and professor — Music in Performance, Friday 1:20, professor Gunnar Johansson — 28 years apart.

Go, Bucky!
