Robert J. Griffin chosen Scholar of the Year for College of Communication at Marquette University

Robert J. Griffin (Ph.D., 1980), a tenured full professor in the Diederich College of Communication at Marquette University in Milwaukee WI, was chosen Scholar of the Year by his college. The honor is based on his current research and career-long research program. “Dr. Bob” Griffin joined the Marquette faculty in 1978. He was awarded MU’s campus-wide Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence in 1997. In 2007, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the world’s largest general scientific society, elected him a Fellow for his “distinguished contributions to the public understanding of science through research on public use of information to make risk judgments.”
