Brad Stych PhD’95 parlayed his UW education into an unexpected career. He became a trader in the financial markets and a trading educator. He recently published the third edition of Day Trading the Dow Mini: A Practical Guide for Market Participation (Brightstar Training, LLC, 2021). He has also taught agricultural and applied economics students at UW–Madison how to day trade in preparation for the annual University Trading Challenge sponsored by the CME Group Inc. in Chicago. This competition is a unique opportunity for students worldwide to learn about trading futures in a hands-on manner.
