Badgers Honored for Teaching Excellence: Caryn Murphy, Randall Davidson

Caryn Murphy PhD’08 and Randall Davidson ’81, MBA’89 are members of the UW–Oshkosh Radio-TV-Film Department, which was recently honored by the Board of Regents with its Teaching Excellence Award, one of the UW System’s highest honors. Dr. Murphy is a professor who teaches courses in film and television history and criticism; she has been simultaneously serving as interim director of UWO’s Women’s and Gender Studies program. Davidson is a senior lecturer specializing in broadcasting and journalism. He also advises the campus radio station WRST-FM, which has been honored by the College Media Association as College Radio Station of the Year twice since 2012. Murphy and Davidson both joined UWO in 2008 and each has individually been honored with UWO’s Edward M. Penson Distinguished Teaching Award.
