Badgers Partner to Reduce Excessive Screen Time for Children

Drew Vernon MBA’12 recently partnered with the UW’s Department of Education (Peter Wardrip ’97 and Katherine Norman MFA’18, MS’20, PhD’23) to observe the educational benefits of Toniebox use among 3–5 year olds.

The study found that children who listened to audio stories and songs had 32 percent higher emergent literacy scores than children who did not. The evaluation also showed Toniebox listeners had a 25 percent reduction in exceeding one hour of daily average screen time.

This study was recently cited in a Forbes article about screen-free alternatives for children.
