As the war in Iran continues, new questions about the U.S.’s military operations and relationship with Israel have emerged.
To discuss the effects of the war and the political, social, and economic pressure caused by the conflict, political science professor Nadav Shelef will join the UW Now Live, on April 21, 2026, along with fellow experts John Hall and Dana Peterson MS’02.
Shelef is a professor and chair of the political science department at UW–Madison. He’s also the Harvey M. Meyerhoff Professor of Modern Israel Studies. His work focuses on understanding how homelands change and how nationalists demobilize.
