UW Alums Talk Jewish Rye Bread with Peter Reinhart

UW–Madison alumni Steve Katz ’76, MA’77 and Donna Webber MA’76, MA’77 were featured guests on the national podcast Pizza Quest, airing on September 28, 2025, hosted by bread-baking expert and author Peter Reinhart to discuss the cultural and culinary history, and tips for making the best Jewish rye bread.
Both Steve and Donna hold master’s degrees in history from the UW. They are also both double Badgers: Steve received his UW bachelor’s degree in anthropology, and Donna earned her second master’s degree in library and information sciences.
