Journalism Alum Edits Journal, Finds New Home Abroad, and Writes About Trump: Robert E. Gutsche Jr.

Robert E. Gutsche Jr. (JBA ’06) has stepped into a lot of new territory. He has been named Associate Editor of Journalism Practice and is also just now taken a post as Senior Lecturer in Critical Digital Media Practice at Lancaster University (UK) after being Assistant Professor of journalism at Florida International University in Miami. Gutsche has also published an edited volume, The Trump Presidency, Journalism, and Democracy (Routledge, 2018) that focuses on the role of media and discourse in the 2016 election and President Donald Trump’s first 200 days in office.
