Class of 1980 Alumna Passes On

Alumna Suzanne Linton ’80 passed away at the end of 2025. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1980. The State of Wisconsin benefited from her financial prowess. She began her career working at the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority. She earned her CPA and two master’s certificates in management and project management from UW–Madison. Later, she joined the Department of Public Instruction, Division of Finance and Management, retiring in 2016 as Tony Evers’s chief financial officer. On the side, she served as treasurer for several organizations: Association of Educational Federal Finance Administrators, Institute of Internal Auditors, Association of Government Accountants, and One Heart Circle. She wrote grants for the nonprofit Potter’s Farm, Inc.
