Belinda Gail Baker ’83, Community Volunteer and Revival Commission Member, Dies

Belinda (Bee) Baker ’83 died in May 2023 in Macon, GA. She was well known for compassionately serving neighbors and friends across town. As a community volunteer, she tutored students individually and at numerous elementary schools. She also had a passion for addressing issues of hunger and homelessness locally and on a global scale. Belinda served as a board member of the Cotton Avenue Revival Commission, a collaboration with the Macon Historic Society and other entities.

Belinda began at the UW in 1977 as a mechanical engineering student and later changed to a double major in English and history.
