The UW is coming to you! Gather with fellow UW alumni and friends in Seattle to discover how UW–Madison is addressing some of the world’s most complex challenges. Sarah Schutt, chief alumni officer and executive director of the Wisconsin Alumni Association, will share updates from campus, including the Wisconsin RISE Initiative. Then, enjoy lightning talks and a Q & A session with Remzi Arpaci-Dusseau as we celebrate the launch of the UW’s newest college: the College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence.

What is the RISE Initiative?
The Wisconsin Research, Innovation, and Scholarly Excellence (RISE) Initiative is designed to help address significant, complex challenges of particular importance to Wisconsin and the world, through accelerated and strategic faculty hiring, research infrastructure enhancement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and increased student and educational opportunities.
