50 Years of Marriage: Toby Skinner and Carol Carpenter

Carol Carpenter and Toby Skinner celebrated 50 years of marriage on August 23rd 2019. Carol taught 4th grade in California and Minnesota, while raising two red-headed daughters. Toby was awarded one of the early patents in automatic speech recognition technology, and he was the first person officially certified to have run a marathon in all 50 states. Both are continuing their educations by taking classes at Portland State University, Carol in literature and Toby in physics.
