Kirkus Reviews Recognizes Gerald S. Henig’s Book

Gerald Henig MA’65’s latest book America’s Presidents: What Your History Teacher Never Told You was recognized by Kirkus Reviews as a “Best Indie [university or small press] Book of 2024,” and was a “2025 National Indie Excellence Awards” finalist. Henig is professor emeritus of history at California State University, East Bay, where he received the Outstanding Professor Award and won the Pi Kappa Delta Best Lecturer Award an unprecedented four times. Over the past two years, he has delivered more than 90 book talks (including numerous senior resident communities, where he has encountered a number of fellow Badgers) in the San Francisco Bay Area.
