Eric Obscherning ’15 joins boutique consulting firm C&M International in Washington, D.C.

Eric Obscherning (’15) has joined C&M International, a global trade, regulatory affairs, and public policy consulting firm and an affiliate of Crowell & Moring LLP, based in Washington, D.C.

As an Associate Consultant, Eric will advise leaders of Fortune 100 companies in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and life sciences sectors, and their trade associations, as they navigate the complexities of emerging markets and develop strategic initiatives in partnership with governments, civil society, and multilateral organizations like APEC and WHO.

Eric will work at the intersection of business strategy and health policy on issues related to digital health, rare diseases, vaccine confidence, tuberculosis, HPV, cervical cancer, antimicrobial resistance, regulatory harmonization for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and healthcare financing. He will also join Crowell & Moring’s Blockchain Working Group, the U.S. Council for International Business, and the Washington International Trade Association.

Prior to joining C&M International, Eric worked with Anthony Carroll (’80) at Manchester Trade Ltd. and was also involved in corporate social responsibility at GlobalGiving. His written work has appeared in Climate Change & Public Health (Oxford University Press), Journal of the American Medical Association, and Global Heart. Eric received his B.S. in biology and English and a Certificate in Global Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015.
