WAA: Black Affinity Group Legacy & Libations: Stories of Campus and Culture

The Wisconsin Alumni Association: Black Affinity Group invites UW–Madison alumni and community members to join us for an inspiring event that blends culture, storytelling, and excellence. This is a research and wine educational program; Black scholarship and winemakers will be featured as part of the presentation.

What’s included:

  • Cultural presentation by SoulFolk Collective
  • Guided wine education by the Milwaukee Wine Academy
  • Curated family-style snack selection (including vegetarian options)
  • Networking with UW–Madison alumni and community me

This event will begin with a presentation from SoulFolk Collective, sharing stories of their cultural and community project and research work in Madison. The second half of the program features an educational presentation by the Milwaukee Wine Academy, highlighting the craftsmanship, history, and impact of Black wine producers. The Milwaukee Wine Academy program is designed as an educational and cultural experience rather than a formal tasting.
