Let’s be real: meeting new friends as an adult can be hard. Expand your social circle the Wisconsin way and come enjoy the beautiful outdoors of Los Angeles! Join local Badgers for a beginner’s-level group hike at Kenneth Hahn State Park, followed by a social lunch and cocktails at Caravan Swim Club at Hotel June West LA, located at 8639 Lincoln Boulevard. Network with other recent UW grads and diverse alumni who live, work, and play throughout the greater Los Angeles Area. Plus, learn about the variety of resources and connection opportunities available to you through the Wisconsin Alumni Association, including:
- the Recent-Grad Council
- identity-based affinity groups
- alumni chapters
Whether you’ve been in the Los Angeles area for years or just a few days, there’s nothing like fellow Badgers to make a place feel like home!
Guests have the option of joining the hike, the luncheon, or both. Bring your own sunscreen, hat, and water bottle!

This event is restricted to guests age 21 and over.
Enter the state park from the main entrance at La Cienega Boulevard. Parking costs $10 per vehicle at the state park. The first 20 cars will receive a free parking pass!
