John McNamara BA ’88 earns Ph.D.

John McNamara (BA ’88) earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Sobey School of Business as Saint Mary’s University (Halifax). His dissertation, “Aligning Values with Practice: A comparative analysis of management practices in worker managed co-ops using the Co-op Index Tool” examines the ability of management systems to incorporate co-operative values and principles into the daily lives of workers. John currently works a Senior Cooperative Development Specialist for the Northwest Cooperative Development Center and a lecturer on democratic management at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
