It depends on how often you watch, but you’ve probably seen the UW on Jeopardy! a lot more than once. If you mean, did you ever literally see the UW–Madison campus on Jeopardy!, then you might be thinking of 2008, when the Kohl Center hosted the Jeopardy! College Championship. This collegiate tournament ran from 1989 to 2022, Episodes were filmed in April and aired that May. Suchita Shah ’08 represented UW–Madison as a student contestant, but she lost out to eventual winner Joey Beachum of Mississippi State. Or maybe you mean that you saw a UW grad on Jeopardy! There have been many, the most successful of whom was Matt Amodio MS’17. He had a 38-game winning streak (dubbed the “Amodio Rodeo” by those who were fans of either Jeopardy! or of rhyming), over which he earned more than $1.5 million. Or maybe you just mean that you’ve seen clues about UW–Madison on Jeopardy! There have been bunches of those, too, and undoubtedly there will be more, because the UW does a lot of cool stuff. If you watch the show frequently, you’d better study up on your UW trivia.
