UW-Madison was the first public university to authorize beer sales on its campus in 1933 after Prohibition ended; however, more than 100 student centers at universities across the country have since authorized alcohol sales. These schools include UW-Stevens Point, UW-Whitewater, Iowa State University, The Ohio State University, University of Southern California and the University of California-Berkley.
