UW Homecoming is September 28–October 3, 2026. Whether you’re returning to campus for the first time since graduation, or you love to visit the UW every year, UW Homecoming is an excellent time to return to share your pride and passion for the university. Here are five reasons to come back to UW–Madison this Homecoming!
This beloved campus tradition combines UW–Madison lore with philanthropic support for the university. Fill the Hill brings pink lawn flamingos to Bascom Hill to represent gifts made to support causes across campus. Don’t miss the flamingos! See the flock on Bascom Hill on October 2, and learn how you can get involved at uwflamingos.com.
Join your fellow Badgers at the UW Homecoming Parade to celebrate all things UW–Madison! Participate in the pomp on State Street and flaunt your Badger red to cheer on campus organizations and community friends. The parade is presented by the Wisconsin Union and the Wisconsin Homecoming Committee.
U-Rah-Rah! This epic Badger celebration is packed with free fun for all ages. Join the party to see a special appearance by members of the UW Marching Band and surprise guests. Enjoy a silent disco, play fun yard games, and end your evening with a fireworks show over Lake Mendota. This drop-in party-palooza is held rain or shine.
Experience exciting step, stroll, and salute routines when the National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Multicultural Greek Council take the stage at the Multicultural Homecoming Yard Show. This event showcases talent and new performances in a celebration of “culture, unity, and tradition.” The event is hosted by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life with support from the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
Get ready to “Jump Around!” Make your way to Camp Randall to cheer, sing, and chant for the Badgers as they take on the Spartans at the Homecoming football game. Show your Badger pride as you sing “Varsity” with a stadium packed with fellow passionate Badgers.
