Open Board Positions and Volunteer Needs

The Mile High Chapter is run by a group of spirited volunteers with the common purpose of building an inclusive community of UW alumni and supporters in Colorado. Our success depends on a network of volunteers serving in a variety of roles. No matter what skills you have, we can find a way to use them to serve fellow alumni and students.

Why get involved? Besides strengthening your connection to UW-Madison and celebrating Badger pride in Colorado, you will:

  • Network with fellow UW alumni
  • Raise money to support student scholarships
  • Build marketable skills and your resume
  • Make friends and have fun!

The Mile High Chapter is currently seeking new chapter leadership. Chapters are led by working boards, so board members are also volunteers executing the board’s directives. It consists of executive roles, chairs of active chapter committees, and board members at large. The following are the available leadership roles and skills sets needed for our chapter Badger Leaders.

Needed Skills Sets

  • Selfless and philanthropic mindset
  • Commitment and strong work ethic
  • Adaptability and creative thinking
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Teamwork
  • Organizational skills
  • Event planning and execution
  • Financial management
  • Experience with social media
  • Fundraising and stewardship
  • Lots of Badger spirit and pride!
