World Sport Chicago Scholarship Program — Become a Mentor!
The
World Sport Chicago Scholarship Program provides Chicago high school student-athletes with college-application mentoring, participation in on-site college interviews with 70 colleges and universities and the opportunity to receive one of 10 renewable college scholarships worth up to $5,000 annually ($20,000 total), supported by World Sport Chicago and Chicago donors. World Sport Chicago Scholars are grouped in cohorts of six to eight students and two to three mentors; together they navigate a year-long series of workshops intended to guide students through the college-application process. Mentors are “college consultants” for their students and support them through the emotional and logistical challenges of applying to college. Throughout the year, mentors are supported by Chicago Scholars, an organization that World Sport Chicago has partnered with to provide detailed insights to universities and the application process through presentations and personal advice to mentors and students.
