Friday, October 16

  • Parade: Free and open to the public, watch as classic cars, floats, the UW Marching Band, and Bucky Badger bring UW cheer to the heart of campus.
  • Pep Rally: Following the parade, the fun continues with a pep rally at Library Mall. Note: The location for the Homecoming Pep Rally has changed.

Saturday, October 17

  • BADGER HUDDLE®: Alumni and friends are invited to a special Wisconsin-style tailgate that’s the place for Badgers to be.
  • Homecoming Game: Wisconsin looks to derail the Boilermakers in this classic Big Ten clash.

On-campus game-watch party and mingling event

If you’re around the UW during Homecoming weekend but don’t have tickets to the game, stop by the Marquee in Union South (1308 W. Dayton Street) to mix and mingle with fellow Badgers and fans. Sponsored by WAA, DDEEA, and campus partners.

Coloring Contest for Future Badgers

Share this year’s coloring contest with your own little Badger! The winning designer, along with his or her family, will be invited to serve as Mini Marshal in this year’s Homecoming Parade, and their design will be printed on mini Homecoming buttons. Download PDF.

On October 17, our plucky Badgers will take on Purdue in 2015’s Homecoming game. This will be the 105th edition of Madison’s October classic, and the 83rd meeting between the UW and the Purdue Boilermakers.

Parking & Transportation

Parking & Transportation

Visitor parking is available at the Welcome Center at 29 N. Park Street and in the Lake and Johnson ramp at 301 N. Lake Street.

Parade Parking – Street closures begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.

Parking for the Homecoming parade and welcome reception is available through the City of Madison and UW-Madison parking lots. The City of Madison lots closest to the parade are the State Street campus garage and the Overture Center garage.
The UW-Madison visitor parking lots closest to the parade are Lot 46 (Lake and Johnson Streets) and Lot 83 (Fluno Center garage).

If you have tickets to attend the Homecoming BADGER HUDDLE® or football game, we recommend that you use the following methods of transportation because parking near these events will be extremely limited.

  • Madison Metro Transit, Route 80
    This bus route runs throughout campus free of charge. After a quick jaunt through Eagle Heights, Route 80 will take you down Randall Avenue, stopping between Union South and Camp Randall Stadium.
  • Bucky Bus operated by Kobussen Buses
    Starting two hours before kickoff, buses will transport fans to Camp Randall from Lot 60 and Lot 64. Round-trip fare is $6, and one-way fare is $3. Return trips will run for one hour after the game ends.
  • Bcycle
    Bcycle bicycle-rental stations are located throughout campus.
