Jina Jonen Receives 2024 George Tipler Award

Jina Jonen ’96, JD’99 has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 George Tipler Award for Distinguished Service in School Law by the Wisconsin School Attorneys Association.
The award honors former Wisconsin Association of School Board executive director George Tipler, who initiated the founding of the Wisconsin School Attorneys Association (WSAA) and was a long-serving advocate for Wisconsin students. The award was presented to Jina at the annual WSAA membership meeting at the end of February. This is the first time that an in-house counsel for a school district has received this award. Jina serves as in-house counsel/director of human resources for the Oregon School District.
