WAA is kicking off the New Year with a new goal — to engage more than 200,000 alumni and friends in the life of the university. You and your fellow chapters play a key role in connecting alumni back to campus, and we hope you’ll join us to reach this engagement goal.
Currently, about 120,000 of UW’s 372,000-plus living alumni are known to be engaged with the university. How do we know this? We are able to track information about engagements in our database (e.g., people who attend events, show interest in starting a chapter, volunteer, etc.). It is this group of engaged people who receive things like Founders’ Day invitations, access to UW athletic events in their area and other benefits when we cannot mail to or accommodate all area alumni.
Our goal is to increase the number of engaged alumni by 13.5 percent (about 16,200 people) by July 1, 2008. With your help, we can accomplish this goal.
How? One easy and helpful step is to submit the participant lists from your existing events to your chapter representative. For every 25 new engagements you are able to provide to us by June 30, 2008, we will donate $50 to your chapter, up to $250 total. To start, please send us participant lists in whatever format you have (handwritten list of names, e-mail with names, etc.). Below is a
template you can use to easily collect and share this information.
If you have questions about this program, please contact your chapter representative.
