With the gift of Alumni Park, the Wisconsin Alumni Association is uniting alumni to complete a decades-old UW goal: creating an east-campus gateway worthy of a world-class university. This gift from UW-Madison’s graduates to their alma mater is turning a poorly utilized parking lot into a green space that will foster social activity and celebrate the positive impact that the university has made around the world.
Opening October 6, and located between Memorial Union and the Red Gym, Alumni Park will bring lush green spaces, beautifully landscaped gardens and breathtaking views to the heart of campus and downtown Madison. And there will be even more to discover.
- The Goodspeed Family Pier, with public boat slip access
- More than 50 artful exhibits
- Nearly 200 stories of alumni achievements and UW innovations and traditions
- A wealth of Badger spirit
And along the lakeshore, One Alumni Place will be the home for grads as they return to campus. A welcome and visitor center, One Alumni Place will celebrate the achievements of Badger graduates around the globe, through art installations, information stations and commemorations.
