As a public university, UW–Madison depends upon state funding to help continue its mission and change lives all over the world. In return, the UW is a major economic driver. Increased state support will allow UW–Madison to:
- produce more graduates in high-demand fields
- support innovative services and programming to ensure student success
- complete renovations and critical repairs of existing campus buildings
- retain top faculty and staff — the heart of the UW’s reputation as a world-class institution.
Investing in higher education just makes sense. But that doesn’t mean it will happen automatically. We need you to speak up about prioritizing higher education in the 2019–2021 state budget.
