Greg Chesmore ’92 has been named Vice President, U.S. Government Relations & Policy for global biopharmaceutical company Celgene. In this role, Chesmore will lead Celgene’s Federal and State Government Relations, Public Policy and Public Affairs efforts.
UW School of Medicine and Public Health Alumni Dr. Patrick McBride ’80, was a co-author on a major new guideline for the U.S. According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 80 percent of all noncommunicable diseases could be prevented if just four lifestyle practices were followed: a healthy diet, being physically active, avoidance of tobacco, and alcohol intake in moderation.
Frank Denton, MBA ’94, PhD ’96, stepped aside as editor of The Florida times-Union in Jacksonville, to become Editor At Large, still responsible for the editorial page. He remains vice president for journalism of the parent company, Morris Publishing Group.
