A Conversation on Native American Health Care
- Kiana Beaudin ’10, MPA’15 — a physician assistant and the youngest executive director in the history of the Ho-Chunk Nation health department
- Danielle Yancey ’04, MS’10 — director of the Native American Center for Health Professions with the UW’s School of Medicine and Public Health
We are pleased to honor Forward under 40 Award recipient Kiana Beaudin. As a health care provider and community leader, Beaudin takes a multi-faceted approach to fight health disparities. She has organized community health screenings and awareness programs on both a local and national level, co-created a cultural competency training program, and incorporates the Ho-Chunk language into the clinic setting..
Forward under 40 recognizes alumni under the age of 40 who are outstanding examples of living the Wisconsin Idea — the idea that this public university exists to serve the public good.
