The speakers

Sarada ’05, assistant professor of management and human resources in the Wisconsin School of Business
Cheryl Munson ’75, founder and chief consultant at
Michael Reid ’87, founder and head master at Reid’s Premier Martial Arts, founder of, and former Atlanta Falcons linebacker.

About the speakers

Assistant professor Sarada’s research focuses on the economics of entrepreneurship, and her work examines who becomes an entrepreneur, the financial incentives they face in doing so, and the factors that determine entrepreneurial success.

Panelist Munson is part of a team at that helps startups and small-to-medium businesses by developing custom and professional business plans, marketing strategies, and requests for proposals using industry best practices.

Panelist Reid is a former UW athlete who, following his rookie season with the Atlanta Falcons, opened a martial arts school. In 2010, he earned his sixth-degree rank master title in Shaolin Martial Arts. His school teaches adults and specializes in the personal development of kids ages 5 to 12. At, he works with youth, is a life coach, and speaks to groups in conjunction with his martial arts responsibilities.

7–7:30 p.m. Lightning talks with UW alumni, brief moderation from professor and panelists
7:30–8 p.m. Audience Q & A, closing remarks, and continued reception
