Naming of Fine Arts Facility: Dennis R. McKinley

The new Hamel School of Music opened this fall, but just 2 weeks earlier, Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart, just a short distance from the Hamel, opened a new fine arts facility named the McKinley Performing Arts Center in honor of Dennis McKinley, (BM ’67 and MS ’84).

Richard Zielinski ’81 took the helm as artistic director and conductor of the Classical Music Festival Eisenstadt Summer Academy for the 10th time this summer, leading the orchestra, chorus and soloists from around the world as they performed works of Haydn, Beethoven and Mozart in the Esterhazy Palace, St. Stephens Cathedral and the Bergkirche (Haydn’s Church).
