Obituary: Nancy Mae Lem Friederich

Nancy Mae Lem Friederich (85) peacefully passed away Friday, August 18, 2018 at her home in Cypress, California. She is survived by her husband Fritz, with whom she celebrated 64 years of marriage on August 5th, by her daughter Heidi and her four sons Mark, Michael, Douglas and Geoffrey, eleven grandchildren, as well as her sister Jean and brother Donald.

Nancy was born in Racine, Wisconsin on August 24, 1932 to Frank and Fannye Lem. She attended Winslow Elementary School and Washington Park High School. Nancy graduated in Recreation from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1954. She also married fellow Badger Fritz H Friederich in 1954. Nancy enjoyed living many years abroad, including in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and many years in Germany, before returning to the USA.

Nancy battled cancer for many years. She was grateful to celebrate her life with all of her family and many friends prior to her passing. Her wish was to be cremated and her ashes scattered at sea.
