John Gear, BS Nuclear Engineering 84, reports that his steady date since Professor Phil Certain’s Fall 1980 Chem 101 class, Mary Mangione Gear, Sociology 84, has been ordained as a Unitarian Universalist minister and has accepted a call and begun serving as minister to the Olympia Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Olympia, Washington. Rev. Mary completed her MSW at Walla Walla College in 1990 and her Master in Divinity at Starr King School for the Ministry in 2017.
