Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Marci Kawski has been honored by Benchmark Litigation, a leading legal directory devoted solely to litigation, with inclusion in its 2019 Benchmark 40 & Under Hot List. Kawski is the only Wisconsin-based attorney to be recognized.
Kawski is a newcomer to the Benchmark 40 & Under Hot List. Based in Madison, Kawski represents banks, credit unions, and other lenders when faced with regulatory issues and consumer finance litigation. Benchmark noted her recent work in federal and state courts, including a victory at the Wisconsin Supreme Court involving a case that probed the scope of the Wisconsin Consumer Act and that will likely have far-reaching implications for the state’s creditor community.
The Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under Hot List consists of the “best and brightest law firm partners who stand out in their practices” throughout the United States and Canada.
Additional Husch Blackwell attorneys included in Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under Hot List are Kate David and Derek Teeter. Serving as office managing partner in Houston, David is a highly regarded litigator with experience in high-stakes, complex public law matters, including condemnation, election law, public contracting and constitutional tort disputes. Based in Kansas City, Teeter is a litigator focused on complex disputes involving federal and state regulatory statutes, governmental immunities, and constitutional rights.
