Obituary: Grant G. Hilliker, diplomat

Grant Gilbert Hilliker, class of 1942, died in Rhinelander, WI, October 23, 2020, at age 99. His sustained work for global peace included the U.S. Foreign Service (1946-1971) where he served in Washington, D.C.; Naples, Italy; Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; and as consul general in Recife, Brazil. He also worked as an adjunct professor at the Mershon Center at the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. He is survived by his daughters Janet Hilliker and Laurie Groskopf, other relatives, and many friends.
