Diana Elena Moran Thundercloud presents invited “Celebrating Indigenous Day” Lectures at Winona State University (Minnesota) on “Global Pandemic & Protests: Living during Times of Grief, Rage, and Renewal in ‘Las Americas’/Indian Country. Images. ART. Social Media.”

Diana Elena Moran Thundercloud (MS, Curriculum & Instruction, Multicultural Education/Critical Literacy. 1995) presented two invited “Guest Lectures” to celebrate “Indigenous Day” at Winona State University (Minnesota) on October 12, 2020. Her faculty/staff professional development workshop was called “Cry Freedom: Pedagogies of Protests & Pandemic—Teaching & Omissions regarding Native Students During a Time of Grief, Rage, and Social Distancing”. Diana also gave an evening public lecture on “Global Pandemic & Protests: Living during Times of Grief, Rage, and Renewal in ‘Las Americas’/Indian Country. Images. ART. Social Media. 2019-2020”. Both lectures were presented virtually. She is also a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Educational Leadership Doctoral program (K-12 & Higher Education) & Department of Social Innovation & Sustainability Graduate Leadership Program at Edgewood College (Madison, Wisconsin). She is the former Native Student Organization Advisor & Latino/a Student Organization Advisor at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. She holds a Grief & Loss Specialist Certificate from UW-Madison. Diana was honored to be a “Community Fellow” for Edgewood College’s Department of Social Innovation & Sustainability Graduate Leadership Program (Madison, Wisconsin. 2019) regarding her academic and community-based work on “Native Indigenous Curriculum, Culturally Relevant Pedagogy, & the Natural World”.
