Obituary: Arthur B. Smith

Arthur B. Smith, age 76, of Vernon Hills, IL, passed away on the 6th of December, 2017, at Highland Park Hospital, Highland Park, IL, after a lengthy illness. Arthur graduated from UW-Madison in 1964 with a B.S. in bacteriology, working as a microbiologist at Abbott Labs, Vista Health (formerly Victory Memorial Hospital), and Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Mr. Smith was an avid astrologer his entire adult life. He also enjoyed art, antiques, gardening, horticulture, history, and world travel. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Ruth, and sister, Vicki. Arthur is survived by his sister, Lylia; two children, Roger and Lynette; and his partner of 35 years, Philip.
