Mar. 23, 2017
Category: Family

A scholarship fund honoring the memories of Dave and Sally Asmus was established by their family earlier this year to provide financial support to University of Wisconsin-Madison undergrads.

Dave and Sally met at UW-Madison, where Sally earned a BA in French in 1961, and Dave earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1961, and a BBA in Business in 1962. The couple then began what would be a 45-year marriage in which they raised two sons and grew two businesses in Milwaukee. Dave passed away in 2008; Sally in 2016.

“The Dave and Sally Asmus Family Fund will touch the lives of many bright minds today and well into the future,” said Derek Kindle, Director of Student Financial Aid at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. “This generous gift is a tangible example of their commitment to the service of others and is a model for generations to come.”
