Retirement from Transit: Douglas Johnson

After 37 years in transit, Doug Johnson (73, 77) has retired as a planner. His career started with Madison Metro in 1979, and then he moved on to Anchorage and then Vancouver, Washington. Since 1990, he has been the transit planner for Kitsap Transit in Bremerton, WA . He credits his ability to analyze and plan to his years at the UW in History and then Public Administration. He and his wife Martha plan to continue their yearly trips to Europe (often riding transit).
