Renée Trilling recognized for excellence in undergraduate teaching

Renée R. Trilling, Associate Professor of English at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, was recently awarded the University’s highest honor for instruction: the Campus Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. The award recognizes a record of sustained excellence and innovative approaches in undergraduate teaching, as well as contributions to undergraduate education beyond the classroom. Professor Trilling was also honored with the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and she was the keynote speaker for the Spring 2018 LAS Honors Ceremony, celebrating the graduating seniors of LAS Honors.

Professor Trilling specializes in medieval literature. She joined the faculty at UIUC in 2004, after earning her MA and PhD at the University of Notre Dame.
