Paula Verboomen appointed Office Director at HGA in Milwaukee

HGA is pleased to announce that Paula Verboomen, AIA, LEED AP, has been appointed Office Director. In that role, she will oversee daily operations and financial success of the 190-person Milwaukee office in the Historic Third Ward, as well as implementing the office’s long-range growth plan.

Vice President and Design Principal, Verboomen has more than 20 years of experience specializing in public, corporate, higher education, research and development, and healthcare design.

Among her noteworthy projects are the Milwaukee County Zoo Elephant Exhibit opening in May 2019, Aurora Health Center-84South ambulatory surgery center opening in summer 2019 in Greenfield, WI, Schreiber Foods Home Office and Global Technology Center in Green Bay, and Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

She is a founding board member of the ACE Mentor Program Greater Milwaukee, working with high school students interested in architecture, construction, and engineering careers; former board president of Wisconsin Architects Foundation (WAF); and has served as adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Architecture & Urban Planning.

Verboomen has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She joined HGA in 1998.
