Michelle Wagner Ebben Honored as a WLJ 2016 Up & Coming Lawyer

MILWAUKEE (Aug. 10, 2015) — Michelle Wagner Ebben, a partner in Michael Best & Friedrich LLP’s Transactional Practice Group, has been named as one of Wisconsin Law Journal’s 2016 Up & Coming Lawyers.

Ebben is considered a rising star in Wisconsin’s legal community and was chosen along with 29 others based on superior demonstration of leadership, community involvement and determination in legal work, according to Wisconsin Law Journal.

“To be awarded within such a competitive category is an honor, especially given the tremendous amount of talent on the list,” Ebben said.

At Michael Best, Ebben focuses her practice on construction and real estate law. She represents clients in various construction, real estate and project development matters. Among many responsibilities she handles complex purchase, sale and leasing transactions; entitlement processes; and drafting and negotiating easements, licenses and rights-of-entry agreements.

Prior to joining the firm, Ebben was an intern for a Wisconsin state senator, a legal writing teaching assistant and a board member of the Moot Court Program. During law school she worked at Michael Best as a summer associate.

Ebben earned her law degree from Case Western Reserve University Law School in 2009 and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006.

She is an active member of numerous professional and community organizations including Momentum Milwaukee (Director), American and Wisconsin Bar Associations, Commercial Association of Realtors – Wisconsin, and the Association of General Contractors.

Outside of the firm, Ebben enjoys running and volunteering at local animal rescues.

Ebben will be honored at 5 p.m., Sept. 22 during a dinner reception held at The Garage at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee.
